The fabric

This fabric has been waiting a long time for the right hands. Sourced from a warehouse in London, the bolt came labelled from Greece — woven in the 1970s and somehow never used. Over fifty years old, still in perfect condition, and with a character that simply cannot be replicated by anything made today.

It’s a wool mix tweed - textured, warm, and rich with that unmistakable quality of fabric made in an era when longevity was the point. Each colour way has its own personality, but all share the same weight and weave: substantial enough to feel considered, light enough to move in.

When this fabric is gone, it’s gone. There is no reorder. Every pair is genuinely one of the last things that will ever be made from it.

The story

The Gaucho is Patcha’s first made-in-London design, and it took a while to get here. We spent a long time perfecting the cut — working with a small London team until the silhouette felt exactly right. Mid rise, barrel leg, structured enough to feel polished, relaxed enough to wear all day.

The tweed colour ways are a natural extension of that - a fabric with decades of history, shaped into something made for now.
