The fabric
The Edinburgh Special is something different. The fabric — a warm brown and pink tartan wool mix — dates from the 1990s, sourced as deadstock and cut into a Gaucho silhouette that makes it feel completely of the moment. The tartan base is rich and earthy, the pink overcheck gives it an unexpected femininity, and together they produce a cloth that turns heads without trying to.
It’s a poly and wool blend, which gives it a smooth handle, a clean drape, and a structure that holds its shape beautifully through a long day of wear. Warm without being heavy. Dressed up or down without missing a beat.
There are exactly ten pairs. When they’re gone, this fabric ceases to exist as a garment. There is no restock, no waiting list, no next season.

The story
The Gaucho is Patcha’s first made-in-London design, and it took a while to get here. We spent a long time perfecting the cut — working with a small London team until the silhouette felt exactly right. Mid rise, barrel leg, and flattering in a way that works morning to night.
The Edinburgh Special is the most limited thing we’ve made. A one-off colourway, a one-off fabric, and a trouser we’re genuinely proud of.
